Technology. Hi there fellow beta testers!

We just made some major updates to the site. Besides fixing lots of bugs, mainly related to text processing, we added some pretty cool new features as well.

As you may have noticed, the home page looks a bit different. Instead of having "Scoops You Might Like" there, we added a display of recent activities and events in your network, that displays activities that happened within the last 48 hours. So, whenever someone replies to a comment you've made, someone posts a comment to one of your own scoops, someone sends you a buddy request, someone shares a scoop with you, or one of your scoops gets promoted, you will be notified there.

But, again, we removed "Scoops You Might Like", so to compensate for that loss, we added something much cooler instead. When browsing the top or latest news, you can now turn on an "Interest Filter". When that filter is on, only scoops matching your interests will be displayed. Hopefully, this will make it even easier to get the stuff that really matters.

I'm sure, though, that while we fixed some bugs, new ones may have appeared. So keep looking for and reporting them.

I would like to add one more thing. We've gotten many bug reports regarding display issues and layout break-ups in the Internet Explorer browsers. We are aware of those bugs (they are completely CSS-related, and yeah, IE's CSS support apparently still sucks), and they will be fixed soon.
