CoScoop

Technology. Welcome to CoScoop! So, here we are. After almost ten months of hard work, we finally start to beta test CoScoop, and let the world know about its existence. We really hope you people will like it.

We started out as four people, all students, all attending the same programme at the same university (the IT-university of Gothenburg). The whole project was originally a design project during a course in interaction design, but grew much larger when we felt that we really had been getting some great ideas about what CoScoop could become. During the months of development, combined with the usual studies and occasional jobs elsewhere, we were reduced to a crew of two.

Now when we finally open up CoScoop for the world to view, we are really proud of it and excited to see what potential it may have against the kazillion other news websites out there. While CoScoop incorporates many features successfully tried by others in the past (user-posted content, collective wisdom, you know the stuff), we feel that it really has something completely new to offer its users — a unique interest based system and sharing features that hopefully will make it a lot easier for you to find stuff on the web that really matters to you.

But, CoScoop is after all still beta software. We will probably need to fine tune many of its features, and for this we need your help! So please, use the bug report form if you run across bugs on the site (it's in the menu at the top of the page if you're logged in). There should be a couple of them to squash. Also, don't hesitate to send us e-mails if you have questions (questions@coscoop.com) or suggestions (suggestions@coscoop.com) about what you think could be made better around here. Hopefully, things will progress smoothly, and we will add features and improvements as we continue developing the site during beta testing.
